Anthony Parisi Sanchez (Not for Sale) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District. Sanchez lost in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Parisi Sanchez was a 2017 Green Party candidate for District 1 of the New Jersey State Senate.
Sanchez appeared on the official ballot as a member of the "Cannot Be Bought" Party. He requested in email correspondence with Ballotpedia to be identified as a member of the Green Party. In an email to Ballotpedia on December 1, 2017, Heather Warburton, Co-Chair of the Green Party of New Jersey, said, "Mr Parisi was not nor has he ever been a Green Party candidate. He did not receive our endorsement and should not be referred to as our candidate."[1]

Noteworthy events
Party label dispute
In email correspodence with Ballotpedia on October 11, Sanchez stated that he filed a lawsuit against the New Jersey Division of Elections (DoE) over his party listing on the official ballot. He claimed that the DoE incorrectly listed his campaign slogan as his party.[7] As evidence of this claim, he sent Ballotpedia a copy of his candidate filing paperwork that he submitted to the DoE.[8] Click the image on the right to see a larger version.
