Thomas Schiliro was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Anthony Palumbo was unopposed in the Republican primary. Schiliro ran on the Working Families Party and Independence Party of New York State tickets and Palumbo ran on the Conservative Party and Independence Party of New York State tickets.
