Alex Wan is a member of the Atlanta City Council in Georgia, representing District 6. He assumed office on January 3, 2022. His current term ends on January 5, 2026.
Wan ran for election to the Atlanta City Council to represent District 6 in Georgia. He won in the general election on November 2, 2021.
Wan was also a candidate for president of the Atlanta City Council in Georgia. He was defeated in the runoff election on December 5, 2017.
Biography
Wan earned his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He later received his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.[1]

The city of Atlanta, Georgia, held a runoff election for any race where no candidate received a majority (50 percent plus one) of the general election votes cast in the general election the month prior.[2] Felicia A. Moore defeated Alex Wan in the runoff election for city council president.
