    VM-Series, when combined with native AWS services, enable you to create "touchless" deployments and allow your developers to operate at the speed of the cloud. VM-Series protects your applications and data using whitelisting and segmentation policies that are dynamically updated based on AWS tags, allowing you to reduce the attack surface area and achieve compliance. Additionally, threat prevention policies can stop both known and unknown attacks.

    For BYOL listing, VM-Series license is not included. Please contact your Palo Alto Networks sales representative or channel partner.

    See documentation for detailed steps to set admin password before using the web interface of VM-Series. Once the instance is running, connect to it using a SSH client with the private key file used to launch the instance. For example: ssh -i <privatekey.pem> admin@<EIP or private IP of eth0> Then use the PAN-OS CLI commands "configure", "set mgt-config users admin password" and "commit" commands to set the password.

    Robust firewall technology. It's reliable, resourceful, and easy to manage.
    After years deploying and managing other brands, I found a great product and I'm happy so have it available for AWS.
    Integration in AWS is well documented and easy to follow.

    What do you like best about the product?
    The flexibility to upgrade and downgrade the license.
    Easy to access through console, SSH, or GUI.
    Implementation is much easier by using scripts.
    Support is not bad.
    I used to deal with PaloAlto daily and troubleshoot from time to time.
    Integration with other software is easier depending on the cloud platform.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Incompatibility with some cloud platforms.
    Customer support is not providing the expected support immediately, we have to wait until we get a senior engineer.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Ease of installation and scalability of the setup.

    This is informational, the product allows you to launch on c5.large however that is not enough memory. It will boot to maintenance mode with an error in the system log about not having enough memory. Needs > 4GB, not 4GB.

    Some Important document misses important details like API plugin Support
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    It provides following

    1. perimeter security which giving best of breed secuity
    2.easy administration.
    3. Very wide and Deep Details of Traffic
    4. Increased performance due to its single pass architecture

    La solución de palo alto nos permite brindar protección a entornos de nube privada y de nube publica, permitiendo tener todo el poder de identifación de aplicaciones y de amenazas, incluyendo las caracteristicas de logs y reportes dentro del mismo appliance virtual.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Uno de los detalles que tenemos, es que el costo puede ser un poco alto para pequeña empresa, sin embargo la oferta de suscripciones de seguridad es muy completa.

    Ofrece una solución de Next Gen Firewall robusta e inteligente para la identificación de aplicaciones y amenazas que pudieran viajar dentro de cada app.
