I am currently working as an Ornithologist, Ecologist and Environmental Clerk of Works on several projects in the Highlands and Islands, with recent visits to Orkney and Shetland.

Breeding bird survey season is now more or less over and the early morning starts are coming to an end. August is traditionally a quieter month for birds, but other wildlife such as invertebrates and mammals are often busier and easier to find.
