All new for 1997, we think the Grand Prix is now one of the best-looking domestic four-doors on the market.
A bit plasticky but all the modern conveniences, including a head-up display showing vehicle speed and radio-station choice, along with steering-wheel-mounted radio controls.
The transmission is a four-speed automatic. The leather bucket seats adjust nicely but could use some more lateral support.
The engine is a V-6 with an Eaton supercharger that makes 240 horsepower—up from 215 hp in the 1996 model year.
Tires are Goodyear Eagle RS-A, sized 225/60HR-16.
