Needs to filter based on criteria

All in all, I’m very happy to participate in these studies. For all the people complaining about “lack of compensation” I would say that sometime we should just do things because they help others, not because we personally get compensation for it.

Knocking off one star because it needs to filter the studies based on eligibility criteria. As a guy, I cannot possible participate in a cycle tracking studies, so it should either not be show at all or have an option to dismiss from your available studies due to ineligibility.

Good idea, PAINFULLY laggy

I like the idea of this app, and have been enrolled in a year-long study now for 245 days. When I first started the study the app was fine, but it seems like the longer I am in the study - and the more questions I answer - the laggier the app gets. It’s to the point where it is taking over one minute just to open the app and load my tasks, then my tasks take another 30-45 seconds to load - if the app will respond to touch input at all. Sometime the tasks will just crash after all that waiting.

I think this is a great idea, I just wish Apple would get its act together and actually make the app function well - although maybe there is little incentive to do so when you are the only game in town.

I would give this 4 starts for the concept, but only one star for execution, so I’ll settle on 2 and call it there. I’m hoping they work to provide a better experience for those users who are volunteering their personal data for research purposes. I don’t mind contributing to the greater good, but using this app every day is painful.

Technical issues and not living up to potential

This app has a lot of potential but so far only a few studies have used it and I wonder if that’s because the research app doesn’t work well for researchers and thus isn’t inviting. In any case the support for this app is non existent they have a studies support center that reads from scripts and doesn’t seem to have any experience with the research app and the documentation doesn’t explain certain troubleshooting scenarios and to make things worse the studies support center won’t escalate to someone who can help you.

The research app after a new phone upgrade and following the transfer studies process never asked for Apple health access again and I can’t get access restored which means the app is no longer collecting data from me. Support was outsourced and unhelpful and refused to file a big report and tried to pin it on user error which it isn’t.
