What’s New
Version 8.21.0
We fixed an issue where certain URLs could not be opened in a web view. We also resolved an issue that caused search terms to be saved as tags on the Add Tags screen. Additionally, we fixed a bug where tapping "See All" from Recent Saves did not open the Saves screen.

Editors' Notes
This app gathers articles, videos and other content from pretty much anywhere and saves it for later, presenting it in a clean, customisable layout so you can enjoy without distraction.
What have you done to Pocket? It was previously both a joy and easy to use but now it is dreadful. I can’t find most of what I previously saved and navigating has become a nightmare not to mention how clunky even typing in the app has become. Please, please bring back the old format otherwise I will be forced to leave Pocket and find some other means of saving articles I want to save.

Slipping
Pocket has long been a good way to save articles for later reading (and easier readability with its ability to standardise formatting) across multiple devices, and one of the benefits of it was that it seemed to be regularly improved and updated.
However the continuing and prolonged absence of the “site login” feature (which was always pretty spottily implemented when it did work, requiring a few tricks to get working with some sites) kind of knocks out a lot of the usefulness of the app and the platform.
Given they don’t seem in any rush to either return this functionality or make it clear within the app itself that it’s gone, instead just leaving a dead option where it once was, using what was once a very useful app has become both frustrating and, ultimately, a bit pointless.
Developer Response ,
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback with us! While our team rethinks the site logins functionality in Pocket, you can open the link you're looking to read in Web View and log in there, or open the page outside of Pocket and log in to the browser. If we have any updates about this feature, we'll make sure to include them in this help article: https://help.getpocket.com/article/1065-saving-from-subscription-based-sites
