“All right, I knew you'd give it 110%, waddler!”
― Iggly, City Folk
“Just wait. I'm gonna get mega swole, then I'm gonna lift Resident Services one-handed. It'll be SOOO epic!”
― Iggly, New Horizons
Iggly (のりまき, Norimaki?) is a jock penguin villager. As a jock villager, he will appear friendly and competitive towards the player. His English name is based on the word "igloo", and his catchphrase is based on "waddling", the way that penguins walk. His Japanese name refers to a type of sushi, which may or may not contain fish, as well as the common Japanese name, "Noriaki." He debuted in City Folk, and reappeared in New Leaf. He has the fitness hobby.

Iggly in City Folk
Iggly's appearance possibly resembles a Magellanic penguin. His base color is a shade of teal, and his flippers are outlined with offwhite, as well as his face and stomach. He has two streaks of teal on his head, resembling sideswept bangs, and light pink cheeks. He also wears a red bar shirt and his feet and beak are a yellow-gold color. He has simple eyes with a thick black outline around them and pupils usually facing up.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the jock personality. For more information, click here. |
Iggly has a jock personality and has a great interest in sports and bodybuilding. Jock villagers are hyperactive and motivated, but often come across as self-centered and dense. As a jock villager, Iggly is very interested in his hobby, and may compete against the player at catching bugs and fish. Jock villagers get along with peppy, cranky, and sisterly villagers, but conflict with the laid-back lifestyle of lazy villagers. Snooty villagers may also be difficult to get along with for Iggly.
House[]
In City Folk, Iggly's house has a colorful playroom theme, usually including slides, pools, and a playroom carpet. K.K. March is played in his house.
In New Leaf, Iggly's house has the Balloon floor and the playroom wall. He owns three pieces of the Sloppy Series, an elephant slide, a soft-serve lamp, two gyroids from the Harmonoid family, and a whirlpool bath.
In New Horizons, Iggly's house has an igloo-themed house that uses the Ice Wall wallpaper and Ice Flooring. He has two Frozen Tables with various ice-creams on top of them, as well as a cute music player playing I Love You, his new favorite song. Other decorations include illuminated trees, a soft serve lamp, a menu chalkboard, and a frozen counter.
