I purchased this hole saw because I was installing 4 inch down lights to my home and I used a regular hole saw meant for metal or wood and on the second hole it started sparking and all the teeth wore down. So eventually I found out my ceiling was some sort of concrete attached to drywall on the back. I order this the next day and the 4 holes were cut in minutes and most of that time was setting up the ladder. Went right through the material within seconds. Little pricey so I wouldn't but for 1 use but I have installed a total of 12 lights with this so I'd say it's definitely worth it!

Great price and good enough to get the job done. Pretty much used up by the last cut.

Smooth cut through porcelain tile with no chipping. Underlying support material was probably the cause of early failure.

I was a little skeptical that a 2 for $15 hole saw would cut through a granite countertop, and yet it did. I wouldn’t say like butter, but I kept the speed down and frequently dipped it in fresh water to keep the heat down. Within a couple of minutes, I was through the countertop, and the bit looks like it was barely used at all—and I still have a spare!

This bit was perfect for my solid-surface sink/plumbing needs!

I have been giving my bathrooms a face look with all matt black mordern hardware. I never guessed that my sink hole would NOT allow me to fit the new faucet. I tried various tools to enlarge the center hole by about 3+mm; nothing worked. A friend recommended a diamond tipped bit and I was back in business.

The bit was willing to cut into my solid surfact, but I could not hold it steady.
So I first had to create a gig with some scrap wood to hold the bit stable. Installation wen quickly after the hole was drilled. (with my new pink cordless drill that is) Another new purchase I should have made about 2 years back!

Now my 20 year old bathroom looks brand new with a fresh coat of paint on the walls and a bunch of new hardward, mirror, light fixture, knobs, etc. all purchased via Amazon. Yeah for me.

By the way, buy some matt black spray paint to finish up with any existing pieces you can repurpose i.e. my tissue box cover, wall plates and wastebasket.

I am about to turn 77 and back into my DIY projects, so you can too with the help from youtube vids if needed.

I needed something to drill a 7/8" hole in ceramic tile. Using the pilot drill bit was a bit slow, but once the diamond hole saw portion settled in, it cut through the tile nicely. Be sure to remove the pilot bit once the diamond drill portion has started to cut through the surface. Even though it was very low cost, this drill bit works very well.
