After looking at different desks in varied price ranges I ended up deciding on the Vari desk. Shipment was quick and the assembly was very straightforward. The only thing is that some of the pieces to the desk are heavy/very heavy (like other reviews have stated). This doesn't stop the assembly from being a one person project, but keep in mind the instructions ask you to assemble it upside down so at one point you will need to lift it to set it upright. The desktop is the heaviest part for sure.

- Desktop is very easy to clean off, doesn't leave streak/marks
- Motor is fairly powerful and quiet
- Desk space is great (I got the 60" x 30" and a rear dual-monitor mount)
- Looks clean/professional in the room
- Very sturdy even at standing heights
- Great height range between standing and sitting
- Simple 4 height memory controller

There have been no issues with the finish of the desk, chipping over time or from cleaning, no damage to the metal legs, and the motor has been working without issue. I ordered back in August, so it's been close to 6 months that I've used it daily. If you are looking for an electric standing desk in the lower-mid price range this one would be a worthwhile purchase. All in all, I am very happy with the desk so far and hope to get many years out of it.

This desk is just amazing. It’s simply beautiful, very well built. Sturdy etc. I just can’t say enough good things about it! I will say, it is VERY heavy. And our office would be set up on the third floor of our house, that was definitely fun. But we got it up there and set up in under an hour! I am not disappointed. It’s so beautiful, the wood it beautifully stained. It’s think strong wood, amazing colors. The controls are all very well built. Very easy to assemble as the directions are easily understood put in step by step order. Even getting it flipped right side up after assembly was easier than we first thought. I must admit, I was a bit nervous but he flipped that thing right over and it didn’t budge or hurt a thing. Just amazing. I just wish they had it in “L” shape so I could have the same one. Sadly they didn’t and the one I got was no where near as nice as his. But I still get to enjoy it by looking over at it jealously lol. Definitely highly recommend and worth every penny!

Sturdy, smooth, quiet, heavy, wide

Awesome. Very sturdy, much longer than others and deep. Nice cut out for cables in back. Super sturdy and quiet motors that teleconferencing folks can't hear. Thick steel legs and motors are inside legs. This leaves more room under the desk, not just for your legs but for filing cabinets or other things. Cheaper ones have a single motor and the motor is mounted underneath the desk and can bump into your leg and take up space. Super easy to assemble but should use another person to flip to save your back as you install everything upside down. I was able to flip myself, and it is sturdy enough to do by yourself. The only negatives I've found are:
The top is smooth-ish, but my laptop is missing the rubber nubs and has made a few black marks as I've moved it. Without a mousepad, the mouse picks up crunchy dust bits occasionally. If you raise the desk and it pulls the cord out of the wall outlet, it loses its position memory and you have to go through a reset process. It's easy, but annoying. It has to redefine how high the desk is above the floor. When standing, the desk is a bit "sharp" against my gut at one level since the front is beveled. Looks good, but rounded would have been better on the front. The cables from the tray can drop down and hit your legs on the lowest setting. I suggest getting some zip ties on installation, for the cable trays and power cable. Also, buy the cable organizer and place a power strip in it behind the center. Buddy bought a knockoff from Costco and it's much less steel legs, much less table thickness, and less length and width. If you are going to be using this for a home office, spend the money and get this one. I have a desk lamp, power station, two monitors, and still have room for a printer, a few legal pads, a separate keyboard, and all my mail and files. If you use it 4 hours a day, you will be thrilled. He extra depth let's laptop users have a separate keyboard in front and still be able to rest your arms on the desk. Excellent product.

Nice touch with included small accessories added in but adding a cable management tray would have been ideal. I guess I'll have look into that as well to complete the look.

I've had this table for 3 months and it is definitely worth the money. It's super heavy so it's extremely sturdy. My partner put it together really quickly without my help. It has memory settings for easy height changes which is very nice.
The tabletop is also really nice looking even though it's not actual rustic wood, it mimics that look very well.
