Style: 2,300-Watt Dual FuelVerified Purchase

AFTER HURRICANE MILTON: This is a GREAT machine !! I hooked up a 30A connection to my main load center and made an easy ground connection. Connected to a standard 40# propane tank. This generator powered my fridge and many low powered items for 20 hours consuming 80% of the tank, WAAAYYYY over the expected consumption rate in the manual. ABSOLUTELY strong, relatively quiet, compact and not too heavy.

STRONGLY RECOMMEND !!!!!!!!!!!

INITIAL REVIEW: Bought due to dual fuel, small size, and price. Came in undamaged box ~ 12 days.
Came with 30A adapter from generator to 3 prong like a stove. Also spark plug wrench, +/- screwdriver, 17/19 mm open wrench, great oil filling funnel, parallel connector wire. Did not come with oil.
Previous negative comments regarding the access to the oil filler cover. Inside picture attached. Note the two tabs on the left side of the pic, or right side when installed. Found it easy to remove by getting a putty knife in the gap on the left side middle, using it to create space,, then using a flat tip to pry gently each location of the 6 metal tabs seen. Came off relatively easy, no real prying leverage needed.
Using only propane. Took like 10 pulls to get it caught....I used the choke and it caught easy.
Will follow up after use but looking good !!

I own 2 of these generators. I was so happy when I received my first one when storms hit. We were living in our RV while remodeling our home. We were out of power for 4 days and our 90lb propane tank would last 24 hrs. The next time the power went out it would not run. I replaced the regulator, no luck, had to run it on gas. I bought another one when they went on sale at Amazon to use for the house. The box was damaged and I probably should have sent it back. I unpacked it and the only damage I could see was the air filter housing was bent up. I called customer service and they sent me a new one. This unit was purchased in October 2023. We had 3 hrs on this one, connected to our 300 gal propane tank. It ran fine for the 3 hrs. and then shut down.I called customer service again and was told it was probably the CO sensor. So I replaced it and no luck. I've checked the oil level numerous times and replaced the regulator on this one too. No luck. We have been having power outages numerous times this year and so I decided to just go with gas again. It still won't stay running. Trust me, I have used the other one enough, and read the owners manual many times over. I know all the settings for either propane or gas use. I'm so frustrated at this point as we have more storms headed our way. We can always go to the RV as long as I have plenty of gas on hand. 5 gallons will last 8 hrs. I did a lot of research before settling on the Duromax, which has 4.5 stars, but now I have big time buyers remorse. So disappointed, one will run only on gas, and the other newer one won't run on anything.

Wow, what a dual fuel powerhouse of an inverter generator for my 5th Wheel RV. So quiet in ECO mode I was amazed. Easily supported my Residential Refrigerator and Dish Satellite Receiver while running on Propane. Started easily, ran quietly and supported the load equipment during a prolonged power outage. What more could you ask of a generator?? BTW, the instructions to take off the side cover to add oil aren’t very good. After you loosen the hold down knob you really need to pull hard to get the side panel to let go. You’ll think it’s going to break, but it won’t. Just get a good grip on the knob and pull like heck. The little catch pins inside will release and the cover will pull off.

So far so good. The unit is well packaged and looks to be a good quality. It was easy to set up and run and is quiet enough compared to the(double in price) Honda. There is multiple confusions about what it comes with. I even called DuroMax and they got it wrong. I was told it has a remote control... it does not. I was told it does not come with the parallel cords or the 30amp adapter and it does. It also comes with a tool kit and the propane regulator. Now, to put it to the test. But so far, Im optimistic.
