Much easier for my husband to hold than my tiny female hands, but still comfortable for my hand since no sanders really fit my abnormally small hands. The variable speed is great for our rough sawn lumber. Bonus we also sand epoxy with this sander as the adjustment allows you to slow down and not create heat that will melt epoxy coats. Simple Velcro pad replacement is of good quality and the on and off switch is great. Our last one was operated by the whole top of sander being a switch, that one was ingnorant design because you had to wait for the dumb thing to slow down and stop before you could change out the sanding pad. This sander feels, and looks like quality construction. I only gave 4 stars as we have only been using it for about a month. Time will tell if it holds up to our daily abuse. I think it has about 20 hours of use and still working well. Bought and using in u.s.a. FYI ... ( it's been one year since our purchase) countless hours of sanding, dropping, and general abuse to this tool. It still works like the day I purchased it. Definitely will buy again. Five star plus!

Where's the vacuum

Its a homeowner sander, certainly not a professional unit, but the vacuum is just about worthless. About as much dust escapes as it collects.

Disk pad was wrinkled

The "hook" pad at the working end arrived badly wrinkled. I managed to straighten it a bit but not all that much. The wrinkled hook pad only partially grabs the loop sanding disks. As a result, the sanding pad tends to migrate off the hook pad when pressure is applied.
The mechanics work well if a bit stiff (cheap plastic that will probably break).
All in all, it was a cheap replacement for a very old Porter Cable sander with a ceased motor.

Even on the lowest setting it spins so fast it will rip out of your hand and gouges the Wood worst of all unless you bear grip it it won't even sand The vibration is horrible. Dust collector dose not do a thing.

Don't use orbital Sanders often, and I was on a budget. Got the job done, and for the price I paid I was happy. Def not as good as the higher end tools I've used, but for this price, it can't be expected to be.
