I had some other clips that looked just like these, but the ones that arrived were a smaller size. (I didn't check the dimensions before ordering, so that's on me. I've posted photos that show the size comparison.) But they still work on all the backdrop stands that I have and they work fine. They open about and 1.5". They don't feel robust, but for my needs at the moment they are adequate. If you need something heavy duty, then this is probably not it. But if you need something that is less expensive and you need a bunch of them, then this could be a good option. Overall I am happy with my purchase.
