I bought these to use once or twice each to slap on a primer coat on my walls and ceiling, thinking that because they were so cheap, I'd have a sloppy paint job with brush marks and voids and that the bristles would frizz out after washing once or twice. Imagine my surprise when not only did they lay down the primer cleanly and evenly, they washed out great with all of the paint coming off the bristles washing with dish soap, water, and an old nylon toothbrush. They're so good, in fact, that I'm using them to put the flat ceiling paint on instead of the name brand brushes. They've gone through 7 or 8 use/wash/hang to dry cycles and they're going strong. Have they lost a bristle here and there? Yes, but so have my Purdy and Wooster brushes. I don't think I'd use them for a gloss or semi-gloss paint, but if you're using a flat or matte latex give them a try.
