I've had these sprinklers before, and they do a nice job - the top screen where the water emerges can be a little delicate and easily dented or damaged, however, hence the new one. Good thing they're so cheap!

This model does water a nice rectangular area, handy for many lawns and gardens, and it puts out a healthy amount of water in a reasonable time. Easy to set up and adjust, about the only battle you might fight is if your hose is stiff and uncooperative, this sprinkler does not have enough weight or surface area to hold it in place. There is a hole in the metal base you could put a spike or long nail thru to hold it down, if needed.

Beyond that, it sprays pretty high in the air to distribute the water in the desired pattern, so on windier days your water will not always end up where you intended. Still, they're simple, cheap, and handy to use for their intended purpose.

First of all, I used a collapsible pocket hose with this and that affects the pressure. I have not measured my garden where I use this but I would say it is as advertised. It throws a soft sprinkle 3 feet high in a more or less rectangular pattern. The amount of water thrown is great. I don't have to leave it on for too long to give the garden a good soak. It is a good weight for the size but then again, it isn't too big. Using with a collapsible hose, I had no problem with it not staying in place. I could see possible problems with a stiffer hose. Heck, I have problems with larger sprinklers when I use a heavier hose. Perfect for my circumstances.

Item arrived and to my surprise was much smaller/lighter than I figured it would be. I really like the shape/size of area it covers, it's perfect for watering the garden I have in front of my screened in porch (will be even more perfect once I take out the wild strawberries that seem to be taking over part of the bed). However, because of the size of this item, it is extremely light weight and really needs to have some way to stake it into the ground - maybe the manufacturer could punch holes in the silver part and include stakes in a future product? Until I get around to my other project, I've been using a patio brick to lay over the hose to keep it in place.

It sure does not look like much and is fairly inexpensive, but performs very well. Particularly as we have a number of small areas to water. 15 minutes and it saturates the area. Its not really made for large lawn coverage and would be highly water pressure dependent. Works much better in laying down the water over an oscillating or pulse sprinkler. It would be perfect for a garden area.

I've tried several dozen different sprinklers over the past five years, and quite frankly, none of them are decent. It's such a weird market. It seems it would be so easy to make a sprinkler.

The trick is with "square" patterns, as any sprinkler spraying out from a center point is going to have "rounded sides" or an unequal allocation of water. This head does about as well as any possibly could, though I would describe the spray patter as more like an X. I've found, of all of the sprinklers I have tried to deliver a consistent about of water to all four corners of my very small lawn, this head probably does the best out of all of them I've tried. It just misses everything in between.

The number one challenge I'm up against is that my front area is a very small rectangle area where about 60% of the surface is concrete. I'd like to minimize wasted water as much as possible, and as I stated before, this sprinkler head does the best job at that of any I've tried

The problem is twofold. Number one is that it's still not very good at it. I have to reposition the sprinkler several times in order to get it to sit just right.

The second problem is that it is very, very, very light weight. I can't get it to sit flat, but there's where I found the best way for me to use it.

I've been positioning the sprinkler head at an angle, which helps create a rectangular patter. It just takes a lot of time to set up the spray pattern to be precise.

This will work for my back yard, which is much larger and can be split into two squares. My next sprinkler purchase, though, is going to be what I should have started with. I'm getting a Nelson Train.

I bought this specifically for my flower beds and am happy I did. I can control the distance with the amount of flow from the tap and keep it from watering the lawn during restrictions. It doesn't cover a huge area even with the tap wide open so if you're looking for a sprinkler to do big spaces this isn't the one you want.
It's metal so I expect it will hold up for many years as I had a plastic one for ages that got lost. Worth the money for sure if you're looking for something to last and use in the beds, for a small yard or even for the kids to run through I would think.

I was very excited for this as my front grass area is quite narrow. it stated that it will water 15 feet x 30 feet rectangular pattern" This does no where near 30 feet across. I expected it to do the whole area in one or two locations and I find I'm moving it 5x to get the full area. Will be keeping it to water small areas but was hoping for a real solution for my front yard. Note that this does not come with an 'O'ring so you will need to purchase one of those so it doesn't leak. Another review said it does 2x3meters that's close than the stated "15 feet x 30 feet rectangular pattern"
