I learned some techniques from their classes at a craft fair so it was nice that they had a kit I could use at home. It is beautifully presented and high quality. Beautiful and clear instructions. Truly worth the investment and great to use for the holidays and many more seasons.

This is such a great little kit! I have been dabbling in “faux-ligraphy” for a while now, but have never ventured out to a real calligraphy kit until now! I think this kit has everything you need to start your calligraphy journey! It DOES require a lot of practice and patience, but once you get the hang of it, the opportunities are endless! The instructions in the kit are very nicely written out and it’s very clear to follow as well. Thanks Wildflower Art Studio for making such a great kit!

I'm totally new to calligraphy, so I can't say if this is the best kit or be nit-picky about it. All I can say is, I was able to start writing immediately, and the little booklet with beginner's instructions got me going. So, it worked well enough, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! There's plenty of ink, the pen is comfortable to hold and seems to write well (with my limited skill). The packaging was also cute, although all the crinkle paper was a little excessive.

Only drawback: It was difficult to write on the "trace" paper, as it kept moving when I tried to hold it over the letters to trace. It would be nice if these practice sheets were bound, so that they would stay in place. Then, card with the letters could be easily slipped in between sheets for tracing. I happened to have a solid notebook of plain white paper, and I found it much easier to write in that notebook than on the trace sheets.

All in all-- would recommend to beginners!

Love this entire set. I’m a beginner and it has instructions, trace paper, mini project suggestions and best of all ..actual instructions. The packaging is really cute as well. I ordered it as a gift to myself to do in my free time when I’m just relaxing. It’s really helped improve my regular handwriting as well and is just over all fun. I would highly recommend this product for folks wanting to try out calligraphy it’s affordable and you get everything you could possibly need if your just starting.

Packaging was ruined in shipping which wasn't a big deal because it is for personal use. I enjoyed using this set except my dropper didn't work to get ink from the bottle to the cup therefore I spilled it all trying to get it back into the bottle after the first use. Disappointed that I only got to use it once and now have to go find more ink. It would also be helpful to add cleaning tips in the directions. I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to rinse the pen off, scrub it, or let it dry. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

The concept of having the nib of the pen where one can see a stroke as it is being made is a great feature for a beginner.
The instructions and practice sheets are very helpful. I bought this for my 13 year old granddaughter and after just a short period of time she was doing quite good. The biggest problem she had was learning not to lean on her arms while
learning a stroke. That will take practice too.
I learned calligraphy many years ago and may buy this set for myself and re-learn a fun skill.

Brush Turned Ink

I have always been a brush or iPad calligrapher, but this kit has changed the game! I thought ink calligraphy would be difficult, but it is pretty easy! (And I’m a lefty). All the materials are very high quality, the instruction guide is good, and the presentation was beautiful! Wildflower even included a personalized name tag! Wildflower Art Studio includes free customization on all orders placed directly through their website. If you order from Amazon, you can just email them and they will send you the calligraphed name card for free. Highly recommend this kit for anyone who wants to get into ink calligraphy.

It's not as much as it looks, but that doesn't mean I regret getting it.

I thought it would have been more because of how big the packaging was, but I don't regret getting it. The packaging was cute and perfect for what I intended for it (a gift for a friend). I wish it would have come with more than one nib and that the actual writing utensil itself would have been made from a nicer material (it reminds me of plastic from a children's toy), because then I would have felt like it was worth the money. I then remind myself that it's a starter kit for beginners and maybe that's the perfect material to use. In any case, I was surprised at how little came with the packaging, but I also think it was good for my intent.

This is the biggest ripoff ever!!!!! I am very upset with this item. 1 holder, 1 bottle ink, very little stationary, 1 very little plastic container for 85 dollars. I'm not giving you a good review, and I won't use the coupon included in the little box.
