I am a pretty serious gardener. The problem I had though is that I couldn't find SERIOUSLY GREAT garden gloves. That problem is now solved! These are HANDS DOWN (pun intended!) the most incredibly wonderful gloves that I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. #1 They fit! Yes indeed, somebody has finally figured out that one size fits all just doesn't work for gloves. Actually, the fit like a second skin. You have incredible ability to feel what's under the soil! You can also use your phone if the need arises. #2 They are comfortable! I've worn these for hours at a time without taking them off. I've noticed that I do sweat a bit (is summer in Texas, folks!) but it's minimal. Even the times that I'm deep enough into the soil that they become really damp, it's not uncomfortable. This bamboo stuff is great! #3 Although I've not had them but a couple of weeks I can tell that they should be very durable. They are very well made. I've used the heck out of them & they still look perfect. I'm picky so I've been washing them with a little Dawn & cold water after the daylight fades. I squeeze them out, hang them up & they're dry & ready to work in the morning! #4 The price point is VERY affordable! I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much, but I'd have paid more. I'm actually considering stocking up on them now before they figure that out! Lol!
So, to recap, I love these gloves! A LOT! Really, I rarely rate stuff. I've just got to much gardening to do! I had to take the time though to make other folks aware of just how fantastic these really are. I wish i had found these 40 years ago. Take a chance & you won't be sorry! 🌻

I'm going to run down a list of jobs I did with these gloves.

1. Chopped down a tree
2. Dug out the stump.
2. Thatched my yard to clear 20 years of debris from said tree that had never been cleaned up.
3. Moved 1200 lbs of cinder blocks from the hardware store and then used them to create a stand for my water barrels.
4. Moved over a ton of paver stones and then installing a paver area. The sand bedding did a number on the gloves, but they persevered.
5. Replaced some existing pavers that didn't have an adequate footing or weed strip.
5. Removed four bushes
6. Painted my exterior trim.
7. Sanded and repainted my front door.
8. Laid down asphalt

The asphalt is what did them in.

Now I would probably not consider these professional gloves. A professional landscaper would probably have to replace them at least once a month. But you have to figure a total cost basis. Work gloves wear out, and these are less than $10.

I like them for a few reasons. When I first got them, they felt a little tight. However, they didn't hamper my manual dexterity much, and that made the tightness very easy to overcome. They stretch just a little bit, and they maintained that stretchiness throughout the life of the gloves.

The fingertips eventually gave out probably because I was wearing them when prying at a lump of asphalt. I think I got my $10 worth, and I'll be ordering another pair.

***update*** the seller honored their satisfaction guaranteed claim and gave me my money back since the gloves are splitting after only one wear. They said they consider these a light-duty gardening glove FWIW and recommended a different product for heavier use.

I've only worn them once and they are already splitting between the thumb and forefinger. I ordered a medium based on my hand measurements. They fit tight like a glove, which I like because they don't slip around, which makes me feel more secure holding sharp objects like pruning shears and saws. They have excellent grip. The protection is so-so --- I won't use these for heavier planting and pruning jobs again since I did have a few cuts on my hands when I took the gloves off (even though I didn't feel them when they occurred). I don't think these will last me long, which for the price isn't ideal. I also thought these were hot. The fabric was kind of thick to wear on a hot day. My hands got very sweaty and then it was hard to take the gloves off.

I found another alternative at my local hardware store that I like better ... they are thinner and more comfortable and mold to your hands in very little time ... they are called Showa Atlas Nitrile gloves. They are easy to take off and aren't very hot at all. They only cost me $10 and I like them better than these.

So I gave these 4 stars.

Each pair lasts me a season in the garden (although by the end of the season they're starting to wear out). I was disappointed that I could no longer get a size small and more disappointed when on the first trip into the garden the rubber coating was already bubbling up and tearing away from the fabric. They still work, but not the way I loved in my original pairs. I don't think I'll be returning for more.
