This is perfect for my trim-work. As I said in a previous post all my trim tools got ruined during a couple of hurricanes. Starting a new project I needed a new saw. It took me a wee bit to get used to the safety and I can't use those thoughts here. However after a couple days I was used to it and my finger automatically flipped the safety without a second thought. It's a really strong saw and quite sturdy . Accuracy I thought might be a problem especially after shipping, i planned on having to make adjustments. But it's been NO problem at all. It does go as far as 50 degrees on both sides if you need it ,which can occasionally be useful. Personally I have no problems or real negatives .

The saw cuts great. My only complaint is WHY is there no laser light to show where you are cutting. Such a simple thing to add to saws these days and there is not one. You can easy adjust the angles. I do not need to take it places but it isn’t huge so it is portable to move in and out the garage. I’m not a huge tool snob so I will not say Dewalt is the one and only. Their tools work, they are reliable. Value for the cost is it will last. The cuts are all smooth as well as the motion to bring the saw down. It has power to get the job done for sure.

I’m replacing a worn out Craftsman chop saw, so the DEWALT is a big step up for me. It cuts nice, even with the 32 tooth blade. I plan to upgrade to an 80 tooth in the future for smoother fine cuts. It’s easy to set up and use. I was just cutting moulding, so it worked perfectly. It is a big saw, but not super heavy. A cart or table would be nice to move it around. The dust collection bag worked better than most others I’ve used as well. I was very pleased with the price (around $259) too.

Looks, feels & functions like a quality product. Hold on, when pressing the "on" switch, the motor's torque is surprising, good. So far, it has performed as expected with the cuts I've made. No problem cutting through oak. Alignment is good out of the box, only had to adjust the "degree" indicators out of the box to my liking. Use a vacuum to collect dust, the bag isn't the best for collection. A little heavy for transporting between job sites. More suited for permanent placement.

Purchase experience:
Con - AZ's price isn't any better than some "brick & mortar" stores near me, when available. The AZ specifications listed at time of purchase indicated 80 teeth, not what was received. Had to buy 80T locally. Plus - Arrived early, undamaged and on time.
