I've been searching for an ironing board for our RV. This one is perfect for a small space. This board is light enough for me to hang by the strong hook that is attached to the frame. The board is of ample width and length to provide a very satisfactory surface on which to iron. The pad's cover design is beautiful. It is a pleasure to look at while ironing. My iron glides smoothly over this surface. The cover holds snuggly to the board without the need for cover clips. There are 3 layers of thick padding beneath the cover which are more than adequate. They help provide a smooth surface for ironing and distribute the iron's heat well. The mesh screen beneath the board releases heat and steam. I have found that it takes less time for me to iron due to the above. The legs are stable, sturdy, do not wobble and have an effective locking mechanism. They open and close smoothly without a disturbing ratcheting sound. The feet are securely capped, protecting my floors. Even without the consideration of needs for a small space this board is a perfect purchase. It is more than adequate and I will be purchasing another one for my home. I expect to have many years of use from it due to the quality construction and easy of use. I'm even considering giving this as a gift to my daughters. Anything that takes the work and drudgery out of ironing is a gift worth giving. I highly recommend this product.

Lightweight yet sturdy, but why is the iron stand horizontal?

I have needed a new ironing board for years. I tried using a mini countertop one, and one that folded down while hung from the back of a door. Nothing compares to a good ironing board and I was willing to spend a bit more, but not a crazy amount.

I just tried it out and, overall, it seems to fit the bill. Really compact, lightweight yet sturdy and stable, easy to open, and nice, thick padding. I bought the one with Turbo Zone but haven't used it yet.

My big question is, why is the iron stand oriented horizontally?!

I've watched the demos and video reviews to see what I'm missing. Every video showed the iron resting face down on its plate, although one was slightly tipped. My T-Fal iron does not recommend setting it face down while in use, but I tried it anyway. The steam blasted out in that position! Not one of the videos showed the iron steaming so I wonder, why didn't it happen in those videos? It didn't show them turning the steam down or off before setting the iron down. What, don't people use steam?!

Also, my iron did not feel secure while placed in that area. It didn't fit snugly. Maybe it should be adjustable. It would be nice to have more guidance about how to use that stand.

Aside from that, I'm happy with my purchase!

I am so impressed with this pad that I had to share. I decided to renew my old trusted ironing board that I’ve had for almost 20 years. I bought some pads from big box stores and online but could not find a product that would impress me. Many pads are either too thick or too thin that make the metal mesh of a board press through. Many new pads have a scorch protectant silicon treatment that make a hot iron stick. This pad is different! Made of cotton and dense felt padding and my CHI iron glides effortlessly. It has a very thoughtful design- a scorch resistant part is big enough to rest a hot iron safely for a moment while I’m adjusting a garment not the entire pad’s surface. The wrinkles on my shirt disappear very quickly as I pass once or twice with a hot steamy iron. The color of the pad is awesome - high enough contrast with my clothes. The cinching system is very clever and sturdy. I can’t think of any cons! I went and bought another one while on sale. Thanks, Amazon, for such a great product and a very reasonable price.
