I got this for my office. Given how inexpensive, I wasn’t expecting much, but it works great. I use it quite often as I do a LOT of writing, every day. The pencils never get caught, except the one time I went to sharpen a pencil that had some kind of plastic on it, which was easy enough to remove. I just hand turned the pencil while removing it slowly. It didn’t damage the sharpener, which said a lot for the quality and durability. It’s a small, lightweight sharpener, so easy to move to another area if needed. It has a fairly long cord so that increases placeable options, which I like. Because I’ll eventually rearrange my office space.

I sharpened 48 pencils to give to attendees at a conference a few days ago. It didn't take as long as I had anticipated (YAY!), and this little sharpener whizzed right through them, without a hitch. Quality and functionality at a small price...what more can you ask for? (I used the electrical cord, not the battery, just to be certain the job got finished.)

I used to own a battery operated pencil sharpener. It was not efficient and does not have enough power. I decided to buy this Bostitch sharpener. It sharpens pencil or crayon pencil fairly quickly and the result is amazing (see video and images). The power cord is about 70 inches long, which gives the user a longer operating range from outlet. It does have a nonslip rubber pads on the bottom. But you still have to hold the sharpener when it is operating to prevent it from sliding.
One big problem with this sharpener design is the container for pencil shavings. It looks big on the front view and gives user a false perception: thinking it can hold a lot of pencil shavings. However, if you overload the container (Pencil shavings higher than the shallow height on the back of the container. Please see image), you will have a big mess when you pull the container out.
Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase, as the price is fair and reasonable. Good quality product with only one small design flaw.

Fast and efficient. My 5yr old has been asking for a electric pencil sharpener for weeks and the one we originally got for kids didn't ever sharpen one. As soon as this came in my so was so excited and proceeded to sharpen 24 pencils and after each one was so excited for how sharp and quick it was! He told me we had to post a review so everyone would buy this awesome sharpener!

Bought this and after only using it twelve times it has stopped working. I am annoyed as I had been recommended this model - which has a seven year warranty yet I am unable to return it in under a year of purchase. Save the disappointment and don’t buy it.
