Drone Strikes On Dam Cause Power Cuts Across Northern Sudan

The Sudanese army has accused the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of targeting a crucial dam in the north of the country as part of its campaign to "cripple vital infrastructure". The latest RSF airstrike on the Merowe Dam is reported to have resulted in power outages in several cities across Sudan, threatening essential services.

Activists and legal groups have condemned the strikes, calling them a violation of international law, which prohibits targeting civilian infrastructure. The RSF has not commented.
