On Dec. 12, Vice President of All-China Women's Federation H.E. Ms. Zhang Dongmei was received separately by the Cambodian National Assembly (NA) president and the president of the Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development for cooperation discussion.

In the meeting with Cambodia NA President Samdech Moha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, the two sides exchanged views on promoting women's rights, which Cambodia and China have given the same high priority.

Samdech Khuon Sudary emphasised that Cambodia NA promotes women and gender equality through its legislative work, leadership and representation, and the adopted legal tools to support the integration of gender equality in public policy.

She commended the importance of the visit of the vice president of the All-China Women's Federation that will further foster a partnership to support gender equality.

In a meeting with the President of the Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development Samdech Kittisangahapundit Men Sam An, the delegates highlighted the pivotal role of women's associations in social and humanitarian activities.

H.E. Ms. Zhang Dongmei highly valued the hard work of the Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development in addressing women's barriers for equality.

According to the vice president of the All-China Women's Federation, her federation has just launched a development project to support children and female adolescents, which stands as another window for cooperation between Cambodia and China in the area.

Samdech Men Sam An thanked her guest and deeply supported further cooperation between the two countries to maximise the scope of their work.
