First-Year

First-year applicants applying to enter college in fall 2025 can apply in one of two ways: through myIllini or the Common App. We don't give preference based on application type.

Our 2024 first-year application is now closed. Submit a petition through myIllini to explain why you're applying after the deadline. It is unlikely any petitions will be approved unless you have an extreme circumstance as to why you couldn't submit the application by the January 5 deadline.

Transfer

Our spring 2025 transfer application is now closed. Those applying for fall 2025 can apply beginning January 15 through myIllini, our student portal.

Parkland Pathway

Applicants applying for fall 2025 admission to Parkland Pathway can apply to the program beginning March 5.


Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available. This report includes statistics from the previous three years concerning reported crime that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus and statistics for fires in on-campus student housing. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security and other safety information along with fire safety policies and procedures. You may obtain a hard copy of this report by contacting the Division of Public Safety or by accessing the following website: police.illinois.edu/clery.

Licensure Statement

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has determined that our College of Education licensure curriculum meets the educational requirements for licensure or certification in the state of Illinois. We are unable to determine if the curriculum meets the educational requirements for any of the remaining U.S. states and jurisdictions. Please go to the university's State Authorization Licensing and Complaint Information site to find your state's requirements, resources, and contact information.

To seek additional information and guidance, you are encouraged to contact the appropriate licensing agency for your location or wherever you desire to be licensed or certified. Please be aware that there may be licensure or certification requirements in addition to an academic program's curriculum. Information about all licensure programs associated with the university can be found on our Division of Management Information site.
