K-12 Students & Teachers
K-12 classes from Chapel Hill and across the region come to the Ackland for lively learning experiences with original works of art.
Looking closely, thinking carefully, and responding creatively to art from around the world stimulates new ways of thinking for teachers and students alike, in addition to making meaningful connections with the school curriculum.
The Ackland Art Museum’s programs for K-12 students are supported by the William Hayes Ackland Foundation, The Grable Foundation, and friends of the Ackland Art Museum. The Ackland’s K-12 programs in Guilford, Randolph, and Surry Counties are supported by the Edward M. Armfield, Sr. Foundation. Donations for the Ackland Art Museum and its programs for K-12 students and teachers are always welcome.
