Job Title: Safety Officer

About the Job:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment on our construction site. This involves developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide safety training and orientation for all new employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records for regulatory compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans for various construction activities.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Facilitate safety meetings and promote a culture of safety awareness among all staff.
• Stay updated on the latest safety regulations, trends, and technologies within the construction industry.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in a safety role within the construction or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sector.
• Professional certifications such as Jor Por Certificate, or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices in the construction industry.
• Proven ability to conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
• Proficient in safety management software and tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Good command of English.

Project Details:

This position is part of the Smart District Cooling System project located in Suanluang-Samyan, Bangkok. The working hours are from Monday to Saturday, 48 hours per week, and the project duration is 11 months.

Compensation:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between 60-70K THB per month, inclusive of benefits such as group health insurance and social security contributions.
