Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are expected to follow JCON’s code of conduct.
Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event.
We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

Open Environment

At JCON, we believe in fostering an open, respectful, and collaborative atmosphere. We encourage participants to be mindful of their actions and consider how they affect others in the community. Positive actions are essential in addressing inequalities and creating a space where everyone can thrive.

We encourage you to recognize and celebrate individuals who make efforts to create a welcoming, friendly, and inclusive environment. Likewise, if you witness or experience any form of unacceptable behavior, we urge you to report it immediately to the event organizers.

We want everyone to feel safe, supported, and able to express themselves fully—without infringing on others' experiences.

All participants are expected to:

  • Be considerate and respectful in both their actions and speech.
  • Foster collaboration and seek to resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Refrain engaging in demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior.
  • Be aware of their surroundings and considerate of others.
  • Report any dangerous situations, distress, or violations of the Code of Conduct to JCON staff, even if they seem minor.

Reporting Unacceptable Behavior

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please notify a JCON organizer immediately. You may report the behavior in person at the Info-Point (Ground Floor of Cinedom, while JCON EUROPE is active), or by contacting us at [email protected]

  • Offering support to help you feel safe and comfortable for the remainder of the event.

  • Warnings.
  • Immediate expulsion from the event without a refund.
  • Banning individuals or organizations from future events.
  • Reporting incidents to local authorities if necessary.

Unacceptable behavior from any individual or organization, including sponsors and those with decision-making authority, will not be tolerated.

Prohibited Organizations and Collaborations

We take the liberty to refuse collaboration with organizations connected to child labor, human exploitation, gambling, illegal drugs, weapons, or any other harmful practices. This includes declining offers of sponsorship or attendance from such entities.
