Jessica’s work found me a few years ago.
I immediately started writing some of the messages in my journals because I believe ideas get recorded with handwriting.
Many of my sketchbooks pages you’ve seen contain her words.
It is uncanny how she is able to articulate exactly what is going on in my life in very specific moments.
Or naming something that’s in the air.
A lantern, a voice within.
She knits knowledge from diverse sources and realms, with intuition and wisdom.
Years of study, powerful storytelling, playfulness, always embracing change and mystery.
I was very much into Tarot as a little girl.
Then things happened and I forgot about it, but always felt a call to explore it further.
When Jessica asked me to illustrate her book with the 78 cards, not only was I excited beyond measure to work with her, but it also felt like an invitation to connect these unremembered threads in my own life.
The process was very simple: we talked maybe twice, instantly trusted each other, and then made space for this work to come into the world.
As I’ve met her a little bit more, I can see that not only is she a brilliant thinker and a beautiful writer, she does everything in life the same way she creates, and I love that.
I’m very happy to call her a friend now.
Her book, Tarot for Change is available for pre-order, if you want to experience our work combined.
