Welcome back, friends! We're so glad you've stopped by for another great challenge, and just wait until you see this week's AMAZINGLY AWESOME sponsors. We have a brand new sponsor (to Word Art Wednesday) this year...Winnie & Walter Rubber Stamps. They carry sweet stamps, dies, and adorable sequins. SO cute! And we also have a new digital sponsor, the very sweet Fresh Brewed Designs. We encourage you to check out both of these SUPER SWEET stores. And who knows? YOU may be the lucky winner of one of these amazing prizes.
This week's word art/scripture is from one of the most PRECIOUS writings in the Bible, as it pertains to the Godly woman. Perhaps you've heard the term "The Proverbs 31 Woman". It's something for which every Christian woman should strive. I've often heard people say, "I wish life came with an instruction manual", or "I wish parenting came with an instruction manual". Well, good news.......it does! It's the Bible, and it is FILLED with priceless information that will help us to live a blessed life. These beautiful virtues were spoken to King Lemuel by his very wise mother. She had incredibly high hopes for her dear son to prosper and to be wise in ALL his dealings; and this portion of Proverbs 31 speaks of ALL that a good and Godly woman should be. She warned Lemuel of these things so that he would be mindful of them when choosing a mate. Verse 10 tells us that the virtuous woman has a price far above rubies. That says A LOT about how valuable a good wife is to her husband/family. Our focus verse (verse 25) says that "strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come." This simply means that the virtuous woman will "wear" strength and dignity (they will be visible in her life), and that she will smile at the future. The virtuous woman has no anxiety; knowing that her family is well taken care of and content. Personally, I know how incredibly blessed I feel to know that my children are saved and living for the Lord; and that I don't need to worry about them spiritually. PLEASE, dear friends.....I strongly encourage you to read Proverbs 31:10-31. When you read these words, if you see attributes that YOUR mother possessed, PLEASE thank her (especially this Mother's Day). If your mother is no longer living, then please take the time to THANK GOD for giving you a Proverbs 31 mother who loved Him, and you, enough to possess these attributes and carry them on to you. And on a personal note, I sincerely hope that reading these beautiful verses will encourage YOU to apply these virtues to your own life. Let your family see these virtues active in your life, and allow them to help YOU to truly become "The Proverbs 31 Woman".
As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to these guidelines. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
