Is it worth it to reinvent the wheel? Or in this case, post-its? Very much so. Mira Sorvino told People in an interview that a follow-up film to Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion is reportedly in the works and is “so close to being greenlit. “They’ve done his deal, they’ve done Lisa [Kudrow] and my deals as executive producers,” Sorvino explained. “[Original screenwriter Robin Schiff] has written multiple drafts of an amazing funny script, which checks all the boxes for all the fans.” She also shared there are “rumors of shooting it second quarter” and a director has been hired but they’re still waiting on a green light. Romy and Michele won’t be the only ones coming back to school; Sorvino also states, “Almost every single character from the original that was important is coming back.” Alan Cumming is very important so fingers crossed he’s on board.
