Liam Payne’s One Direction Bandmates, Girlfriend Attend Funeral

Liam Payne’s loved ones gathered for his funeral, mourning the singer a month after his death. Payne’s One Direction bandmates — Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson — attended the service, People reported, at a 12th-century church northwest of London. Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, attended, as did his ex, Cheryl Cole, with whom he shared a son, and his parents, Geoff and Karen, per “Page Six.” Simon Cowell, who discovered One Direction on The X Factor, and James Corden, a friend of the band, were also seen arriving for the funeral. The service follows Payne’s death on October 16, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. At the time, the One Direction members remembered Payne as “our brother,” while Cowell said he was “truly devastated” by the loss. Cassidy, who was in Argentina with Payne before his death, stated, “I will continue to love you for the rest of my life.”
