Alouettes' Maas captures CFL's coach of the year award

Jason Maas of the Montreal Alouettes captured the Annis Stukus Trophy on Thursday night as the CFL's coach of the year. Maas guided Montreal (league-best 12-5-1 record) to the top spot in the East Division for the first time since 2012.

Roughriders DB Milligan Jr. named CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player

Defensive back Rolan Milligan Jr. of the Saskatchewan Roughriders captured the CFL's outstanding defensive player award Thursday night. The five-foot-11, 200-pound Milligan led the CFL in interceptions and defensive takeaways (both eight) and registered 111 defensive plays, good for fifth overall.

Elks LB Anderson named CFL's Most Outstanding Rookie

Edmonton Elks linebacker Nick Anderson was named the CFL's top rookie Thursday night. The five-foot-11, 242-pound Anderson finished tied with teammate Nyles Morgan in defensive tackles (111) and second overall in both total tackles (116) and defensive plays (130).

Argonauts returner Grant named CFL's top special-teams player

Toronto Argonauts returner Janarion Grant claimed the CFL's top special-teams player award Thursday night. The five-foot-nine, 157-pound Grant led the CFL in punt-returns yards (career-high 989), average (14.8 yards) and TDs (three) and total return touchdowns (four).

Argonauts' Hunter named top lineman in CFL

Ryan Hunter of the Toronto Argonauts was named the CFL's top lineman Thursday night. He's the second Argo to win the award in as many years as teammate Dejon Allen was the '23 recipient.
