Fall is a season we cherish for many things, from pumpkin spice (for some) to boots and a new skin-care routine. One product that always stays in my rotation but is especially necessary as we go into this season is Laneige’s lip sleeping mask.
It’s the cult-favorite lip mask beloved by celebrities like Sydney Sweeney and model Nara Smith (too bad she can’t make it from scratch). We’ve reviewed it in the past, but I’ve decided to dedicate a whole post on it now, especially since it’s 33 percent off during Prime Day.
What Is It?
A leave-on mask that coats the lips instantly and provides deep moisture that settles in overnight. It has ingredients like shea butter, berry-mix complex, and murumuru-seed butter. I use this mask at night and have softer lips in the morning. (I refer to it as an overnight rescue product.) Whether you’re experiencing dryer lips than normal or want to retain moisture while sleeping, this mask provides a nourishing layer of hydration to the lips that leaves them plush, soft, and full of moisture throughout the night into the morning. (Trust me, I’ve tried it.)
Do I Need This?
Yes. Even if you don’t consider your lips dry, it’s natural for them to lose moisture throughout the day from weather conditions, licking lips, or even wearing your favorite matte lipstick. My favorite part of the lip mask is that it comes with a tiny applicator that makes it easy to apply, because if you’re like me and wear long nails, digging into the mask can get messy. I treat it as the final step of my nighttime skin-care routine. It also comes handy on long flights when my lips tend to get dehydrated from flying. I never land with dry lips anymore.
