Cheryl Hines is one of the more interesting tertiary characters in our current political tragedy. As a gifted comedic actress and card-carrying Democrat married to the conspiracy-theorist also-ran who’s about to hold a crucial Cabinet position, you have to wonder what’s going on in her head. Well, she actually seems totally fine with her situation.

Last week, “Page Six” reported that Hines has been all smiles while hanging out at Mar-a-Lago alongside her husband, RFK Jr., and the rest of Trump’s inner circle. She was reportedly there on Election Night looking “happy and relaxed,” and more recently she was mingling with the big man himself.

“Cheryl was talking to everyone, including Donald Trump,” a source told the outlet, noting that the actress appeared to be “playing nice with MAGA world.” At what point does it stop being “playing nice” and start being “she’s cool with their whole deal”?

Back in August, RFK Jr. told TMZ that his wife had some “trepidation” and “discomfort” around him dropping out of the presidential race and endorsing Trump. “This is the opposite of what she would want to do. She went along with it because she loves me and she wanted to be supportive of me, but it was not something that she ever encouraged,” Kennedy explained.

It sure seems like she’s gotten over that.
