Global Economic News HARMAN, the U.S.-based automotive device unit of Samsung Electronics, will strengthen its “digital cockpit” business capability through the acquisition of Germany’s augmented reality (AR) tech firm. Harman said that it acquired German AR head-up display (HUD) software company Apostera on Feb. 10. Apostera, founded in 2017, is a company that supplies AR software solution to HUD or navigation manufacturers. Harman said that Apostera’s AR solutions will help connection of Harman’s digital cockpit and virtual environment, and will also strengthen Harman’s business portfolio related to electric devices. |
