The Vancouver Maritime Museum is bringing festive cheer to Heritage Harbour this December with a light display featuring illuminated vintage wooden boats.
Aside from the lit-up vessels, guests will be able to enjoy carolling by local choirs from the Vancouver Extracurricular Music Society alongside craft stations and hot chocolate. A highlight of the evening will be False Creek Ferries’ choreographed “boat ballet,” which will add a unique touch to the harbour festivities.
“The event is a wonderful way for people to come together at one of Vancouver’s most scenic locations. Everyone is invited to come down and check out the vintage wooden boats in the Heritage Harbour lit up for the holidays,” shares Nicola Chur, managing director of the Vancouver Maritime Museum, in a release. “It is going to be a lovely evening of festive cheer and community spirit.”
An extended ferry service from Granville Island to Heritage Harbour will be running to accommodate visitors.
