About Us

Phytology Flowers is a  high-end sustainable florist offering services to Salida, Colorado and Buena Vista, Colorado. We specialize in unique, stylish floral design for weddings and events in the Chaffee County region of Colorado. We offer everyday flowers through our online shop when we have availability.  We stock a floral cooler with arrangements and grab-and-go bouquets  in Salida at Salida Garden Supply.

Our designers have backgrounds in horticulture, art, flower design, farming, management and counseling to help couples choose uniquely curated, sustainable wedding flowers and have a fun enjoyable experience in their deluxe wedding flower planningWhenever possible we use locally grown flowers and growing plant arrangements (though we do supplement with flowers from our Colorado wholesalers as well).  We also try to use recycled and rented containers, and compost all plant waste through Elements Compost.

On the Flower Farm we grow seasonal local high-end flowers including dahlias, ranunculus, delphinium, peonies, and lisianthus, that we use in many of our designs and weddings. We offer farm flower subscriptions in the summer.  Due to the family nature of our farm we are not open to the public. We are available by appointment, take orders online or over the phone, and offer a stocked retail cooler in town at Salida Garden Supply. We partner with many Salida businesses for events and community offerings throughout the year. We hope to offer open house farm days and classes in the near future.

Hannah Upham, LPC, ATR, HTR  Phytology Flowers owner and lead designer, is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado, and a nationally registered art therapist and horticultural therapist. She is a mother of two young children, who help out in the gardens! She is currently pursuing the micro farm and floral business and hopes to incorporate therapy groups and youth gardens in the future.

Our wedding, farm and counseling services are a safe zone for LGBTQ+, and members of all races, abilities, religions, and genders.
