perkymbf.el
makes your Emacs use a dedicated minibuffer frame that becomes visually highlighted whenever
it is prompting for input. I found this helpful on a large computer display
with multiple Emacs frames.
The above old animated GIF shows a tiling window manager with 3 normal Emacs
frames, plus a separate Emacs minibuffer frame, plus a Web browser. A thin
yellow border shows which X window has keyboard focus. The minibuffer frame is
shared by all the other Emacs frames. perkymbf.el
is turning the
minibuffer frame yellow whenever any of those Emacs frames is prompting for
input.
You can download file perkymbf.el, version 0.2 (15-Oct-2002).
