A variety of research services for scientists are available through our departmental core labs. These core facilities include the Pathology Services Core, the Animal Clinical Laboratory Services Core, and the Microscopy Services Laboratory.
The McLendon Clinical Laboratories provide clinical services in anatomic pathology and laboratory medicine to UNC Hospitals. The web site lists available clinical services and lab tests, forms and requisitions, test specifications, and the lab’s directory.
UNC Division of Nephropathology
Directories of our department leadership, research faculty, clinical faculty, NC Chief Medical Examiners Office, jointly appointed faculty, adjunct faculty, and our administrative staff are online. Also online are recent annual reports, our history, and a photographic archive of faculty members, trainees, and graduate students.
Our Residency Program in Pathology at UNC Hospitals is a four-year training program in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology. We also offer clinical fellowships in clinical chemistry, cytopathology, forensic pathology, hematopathology, clinical immunology, laboratory genetics & genomics, clinical microbiology, molecular genetic pathology, renal pathology, surgical pathology, and transfusion medicine.
Our Graduate Program in Pathobiology and Translational Science offers a Ph.D. degree in experimental pathology and is closely aligned with our specialized graduate training certificate programs. We also offer post-doctoral fellowships in research and in four clinical laboratories.
