What is Corporate Giving?
The Library of Congress reaches a diverse audience of millions, both onsite and online, across the nation and around the world by offering a rich variety of public programs, exhibitions, digital initiatives and educational outreach initiatives. Corporate support is vital to The Library of Congress’ efforts to share its unparalleled resources with people everywhere– completely free of charge.
The Library of Congress offers corporations the opportunity to enhance their national presence through support for world-class exhibitions, literacy and reading promotion and a wide range of educational programming for students, teachers and lifelong learners. Sponsors receive a range of visibility benefits that can be customized to meet the unique needs of your company. Each of the Library’s programs provides a powerful sponsorship platform.
Corporate partners receive the highest level of visibility and the closest public association with the nation’s library. From September 2014 to January 2016, more than 725,000 people visited The Civil Rights Act of 1964: A Long Struggle for Freedom, to gain insights on this landmark legislation. More than 150,000 booklovers attended the 2016 National Book Festival, the nation’s leading celebration of reading and literacy, in person and millions more participated online the 2016 National Book Festival.
Corporate sponsors receive notable recognition and benefits that may include:
• Recognition in highly visible advertising and marketing campaigns
• Credit on print and promotional materials, invitations, website and signage
• Invitations to signature Library receptions and events
• Behind-the-scene tours for VIP guests and clients

Letters About Literature
Letters About Literature is a Library of Congress national reading and writing promotion program made possible by Dollar General Literacy Foundation, with additional support from gifts to the Library’s Center for the Book. More than 1 million young readers have written a personal letter to an author, explaining how the work changed their view of the world or of themselves. Readers can select authors from any genre ‒ fiction or non-fiction, contemporary or historical. The program is in partnership with affiliate Centers for the Book, state libraries and other organizations.
Veterans History Project
The Veterans History Project collects and preserves the extraordinary first-person accounts of America’s war veterans. Through a nationwide network of partners and volunteers the Project collects interviews, letters, photographs, journals, and memoirs from veterans of every war since World War I, assembling a genuine treasure trove of individual feelings and recollections. The Veterans History Project was recognized as one of the "Top 50" public initiatives during the 2005 Innovations in American Government Awards, a program of Harvard University.
AARP is the Founding Corporate Sponsor of the Veterans History Project.
