Stanford Law School launched the ...Stanford Law Scholars Institute by welcoming twenty undergraduate students seeking to explore the opportunities and benefits of a legal career for themselves, their families, and their communities.

For a special Veteran’s Day event here at SLS, Air Force veteran and the 53rd United States Attorney for the Northern District of California Ismail Ramsey visited our students to talk about his path from military service to law school, his efforts to launch the new Veterans Treatment Court, and ...his experience leading the N.D. Cal. USA Office. The lunch event was hosted by Rose Carmen Goldberg with the Deborah Rhode Center on the Legal Profession, the Levin Center for Public Service and Public Interest Law, the Paul Lomio Veterans Legal Assistance Pro Bono student organization, and the Stanford Law Veterans Organization

Meet Jasmine Betancourt, Victoria Osanyinpeju and Nissim Roffe-Picket! These SLS Human Rights Clinic students, along with Clinic Supervising Attorney Shaw Drake, were granted observer status for this week’s United Nations Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP ...16) in Cali, Colombia. They are spending the week attending negotiations between governments and reviewing drafts submitted by committees in the restricted Blue Zone. They are also spending time in the Green Zone that features cultural events and panels led by NGOs, including the clinic’s partner for this important work, the Colombian human rights organization Dejusticia. Congrats to our Climate Justice Team!
