morning, Sunday 18 NovemberIt was a night of horror. I could not sleep as the naval operation continued for more than 3 hours against Gaza Beach, and mainly south of the beach, in a search for the wreckage of the destroyed Israeli jet fighter. There were many non-stop successive shellings. I was awake, like most people of the city. Good to be in touch with friends on the Facebook, some comfort feeling that I am not completely alone feeling unsafe and tense. The power is on, at 6 am I decided to switch off and get some sleep then all of a sudden 4 large explosions in the center of the town bang bang bang and bangggggggggggggggggg. Gaza 6:15am Sunday 4 big explosions in the center of Gaza city. F16s hit the Saraya governmental compound that had been completely destroyed during the Cast Lead operation 2008/9. Now it is empty land surrounded with residential buildings, crowded homes. What is the aim other than terrifying the civilians and tens of homes have been partially damaged! Look I think the Israelis have lost their compass, and their mission in Gaza is mission impossible! great failure. In spite of our lives and property loss, we have nothing to lose but our chains. Please remember we are here to stay and steadfast, we are occupied and freedom fighters, we are not victims, we are on freedoms path. I have not sleep for 3 continuous nights and days love you all Mona 8am Saturday 17 NovemberOn my way to the Red Crescent Society for Gaza Strip. As part of coordination between different emergency health services, the society diagnostic center is open around the clock. I was there this morning, met the working health team who were startled after the nearby police building was destroyed, which caused huge damage to nearby buildings including the Red Crescent building. I was there in a solidarity and fact finding mission. As I arrived, the ambulance delivered an child with head injuries, Islam Baheesy age 14 from Deir el Balah camp, as a result of a direct explosion that hit the house. I was unable to get more information, the child was to return back to the Shifa hospital for further intervention. The health team was in good spirits, though tired after working continuous extra hours. I met one of the nurses a single mother, who could not leave her little 5 year old boy behind, as he was clinging to her and very afraid. On my way I could see the deserted streets of my town, I could smell the death and destruction, saw shattered windows, destroyed homes and large buildings, the outcome of the last 3 days heavy shelling. The drones are occupying my beautiful sky, I can hear serial explosions from the jet fighters. After I arrived home safely, I thought to share this with you. Love you all, it is a matter of time, the oppressor is one and we are many and the future is ours I am pretty sure.
