Remedios Amaya was to appear onstage wearing a black dress with golden sequins. As this dress was too similar to the stage background, also black with golden sparking little bulbs, the organizers asked her to wear a different dress, because cameras of the time could barely distinguish her from the background. She was forced to wear the same dress she used in the video-clip for the song, a striped dress in white, light blue and electric blue. As she didn't have any matching shoes for that dress, she had to perform barefoot.
