Background
The iMac is a desktop computer made by Apple Inc. The first incarnations of iMacs were bulky and sported CRT displays. iMacs are known for having the entire computer integrated into a display-sized case. Identification
Determining which model iMac you have can be a challenge. The same model numbers can have a variety of processor configurations. Even if you think you know exactly which iMac you have, a quick trip through the iMac identification system will help you nail down exactly which model you have.
