GNU TeX for the Impatient

TeX for the Impatient is a ~350 page book on TeX, plain TeX, and Eplain, originally written by Paul Abrahams, Kathryn Hargreaves, and Karl Berry. It is now a free GNU package, released under the GNU Free Documentation License 1.3. and maintained by Daniel James.

Getting the Book

A prebuilt PDF file is available, as well as a PDF for a french translation. A Chinese translation also exists. You can also browse the source repository here.
