Apparently cruising to victory in New Jersey's Democratic senatorial primary, Cory Booker apparently sat for an interviewwith Kasey Hunt of MSNBC in which he announced his intention to be a rambunctious rookie senator upon his arrival in Washington. By comparison, Hunt says, Booker cited some folks who, as newbies, really have shaken things up in their first terms.

Booker says he plans to try to make friends. "You should always lead with love, lead with kindness, and just be good and decent to people. I'm not one of those firebrands that throws Molotov cocktails at people and the like," he said when asked if he expected a warm reception from possible Senate colleagues. And if not? Well, he says that confrontational junior senators are making big marks nowadays. "Look at Rand Paul," he said. "Ted Cruz."

Whoa there, Rising Democratic Superstar.

Those guys are your role models?

How remarkable that nota single Democratic senator is out there as a similar example for Booker to cite. Of course, given his tender concern for Wall Street fee-fees, we're not entirely sure which way Booker would be rooting in that video there.
