TeeBox is one of two casitas at Worth the Wait Ranch, designed with ingenuity and sustainability in mind. This 740-square-foot home is constructed from a conjoined shipping container and a retired semi-truck trailer, using remnant materials from the main house’s restoration. This effort minimized waste and further preserved the historical roots of Worth the Wait Ranch, originally built in 1918.

Tony Williams, Principal Designer at Anthony W Design, envisioned TeeBox as a fully functional home within the small footprint of the two units. Despite its size, TeeBox offers the comfort and amenities of a much larger space. The casita features two bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom, a versatile flex room that can serve as a third bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen with full-sized appliances, a third full bathroom, and separate living and dining areas. There is also a full-sized laundry area, ensuring no sacrifice in modern conveniences.

The containers are cleverly arranged in a T-formation, which not only maximizes space but creates a functional layout that feels surprisingly expansive. By eliminating hallways, every square foot is optimized for living, and large glass walls bring in natural light, further enhancing the sense of spaciousness.

The interior’s use of pine plywood for the walls and ceilings adds to the charm, eliminating the need for drywall or paint while creating a warm, cozy cabin feel. TeeBox exemplifies Tony’s innovative approach to sustainable design and efficient living, offering a unique, compact home without compromising style or functionality.
