From Factor Design Build
The Reed St. project aimed to enhance the functionality and openness of the client’s home, located on the edge of Lakewood Country Club. By removing a dividing wall between the kitchen and formal living and dining room, Factor Design Build helped to improve the flow and increase the natural light in the home. Embracing the clients’ vision of blues, greens, and earth tones, the project’s design incorporated standout elements such as a butcher block seating area attached to the kitchen island and painted kitchen cabinets in a rich green hue. Red oak cabinets were used in the coffee and bar area to create a distinction from the kitchen design, while still serving as a functional pantry and storage area for the family. The revamped mudroom, featuring a unique floor tile and modern finishes, brought personality and charm to the home while adding additional storage space for a growing family.
