From Scott Leuthold

Rancho De Los Cerros began in the early 1900's as a small 125 s.f. casita under a Mesquite tree. Over the years it evolved into a dude ranch. It was later purchased by the YWCA and turned into a girls camp, then into a rehabilitation center. This unique property sits in the foothills just below the towering Santa Catalina Mountains, a 'sky island' that rises up from the desert floor and peaks out at over 9,000 feet in elevation.

In the mid 1980's a prominent Tucson attorney purchased the ranch and invested millions of dollars to transform it into the stunning property it is today. However, over the last few years it sat unoccupied and nature began to take back this stunning Sonoran Desert land.

In 2021, the property was purchased by the distinguished ultra-luxury estate rental company, Resort Style Vacation Homes, with more than 20 properties nationwide. The purchase was made with the intention of turning Rancho de los Cerros into a luxury estate rental, wedding venue, and even a luxury boutique inn. The company brought in experienced project managers and designers, Scott and Heather Jo Leuthold, to oversee the entire renovation including both interior and exterior design, landscaping, pool renovations, and much more.

Scott ran his own award-winning design and brand agency for 16 years in Scottsdale, Arizona. Over the past few years the couple renovated their own mountain cabin home on 5 acres in Angel Fire, New Mexico and shared their experience on YouTube. Their show, 'The Pursuit of Cabin Living Series' was watched by more than 100,000 monthly viewers from over 50 countries around the globe.

The couple has now launched a new show on their YouTube channel called 'Rancho Redux' where they will be sharing their experience of living on-site and renovating this crown jewel of the Sonoran Desert. The design they're committed to achieving will immerse guests in a luxury authentic Spanish Mediterranean Hacienda experience.
