Mill Valley Artist Renovates a Midcentury Modern House In The Trees
Built in 1960, Ryan Jones' home was designed by Carl Book, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. The wooded home is a short drive from San Francisco and with 50 stairs from the carport up to the front door, the deck views of Mt. Tamalpais are beautiful. Modernizing the home while still preserving all its original details and charm has been an ongoing project and labor of love for Jones who lives and works on the property as an artist. Previously owned by a graphic designer, Ryan has taken pride in carrying forward the artistic legacy of the house. To learn more about his artwork visit www.ryanjonesart.com
Included below are both before and after photos of the property, taken by Ryan.
